This experience is geared for photographers, observers and lovers of nature with a deep respect for wildlife and who want to enjoy watching them in their natural habitat.
We work within Torres del Paine national Park, which features a large number of different individuals who have established their territory along with many other animals as the favorite prey of the cougar, the guanaco.
Within the park there is a network of trails for cars, so that we can move easily from one zone to another in pursuit of the puma.
Observation of Mountain lions in their natural habitat
The area where we operate is what we call the land of The Puma because it has the highest density of pumas of the world. However, we must not forget that they are wild animals, and does not control, nor feed them, for which we cannot guarantee a sighting to 100. In addition to the puma, here you can watch many other mammals, such as guanacos, foxes, and skunks. This area is also interesting for the observation of birds and landscape photography, with one of the best funds of the famous three granite towers.
Following the footprint of a Puma
From Puerto Natales, we headed straight to the Land of the Cougars. We will leave early to be in the park around sunrise.
Together with the guide the crawler, we will begin the search on different areas of the park to cover more ground and so to be able to find a cougar on the prowl for their territory.
Via radio, we will be contacting our crawler puma, and know if you find a puma and where. When we find a puma, we will try to identify it to know how to approach it. The experience has a duration of 6 to 7 hours.
We will return to our accommodation to rest and enjoy the photos and videos, collected during the day.
Price from: USD 220 dólares por persona.
