In the Atacama, the majestic Andes are home to the greatest concentration of high peaks exceeding 6000 meters in Chile.

In this corner of the country, we discovered the ecosystems andean southern, a veritable treasure trove of biodiversity and natural grandeur. During our journey, we will witness stunning views of the cordillera, a show that we marvel at in every step.

Our tour will take us to the ruins of the mining town of Puquios, a window to the past that we reveal to the rich history of the region. Then, we will visit the serene Salar de Maricunga, the impressive Jump of the Lamas River, the panoramic views of the majestic Volcano Ojos del Salado and the picturesque Lagoon Green.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the rustic open-air bathes, where you can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Itinerary

DAY 01 Departure from Copiapo (To be agreed).

Detention in agricultural sector The Door, a visit to a farming community in the mountains.

Tour of dirt roads to sector The Board, a brief walk.

Arrival to the National Park Nevado Tres Cruces, hike in Santa Rosa Lagoon.

Dinner and overnight in a shelter or camp.

DAY 02 Breakfast at sunrise.

Visit the Green Lagoon, stopping in base camp Volcan Ojos del Salado.

Picnic in the field.

A brief walk in the Green Lagoon (possible use of rustic hot springs in the lagoon).

Back to Copiapo – 11:00 pm
