On August 5, 2010 marked a pivotal day in the history of the world. A cave-in at the San Jose Mine, located in the vicinity of the city, engulfed 33 mine workers under more than 700 meters of rocks and minerals.
Their lives were suspended in the darkness, in a challenge for survival. We invite you to a unique journey through the paths of miners in this region. Together, we will dive into an exciting journey that will include a visit to an area of dunes, where the arid landscape and majestic stands before us.
We will guide you up to the same mine in which, after almost 70 days of uncertainty, a group of men emerged triumphant from the depths of the earth.
This experience not only take you to explore amazing scenery, but that will immerse you in a story of survival, hope and unity that was forged in the depths of the San José mine.
