In the cordillera of the Andes, and 160 km north of Santiago, and so only 6 kms from the Border crossing Libertadores, you can find the wonderful laguna del Inca, between the high mountains of the Andes.
Next to the oldest Ski area in America, and according to the stories, the local legend about the lake is about an inca warrior Illi Yupanqui who was in love with the princess Kora-llé, the most beautiful woman in the empire. The two decided to marry and chose as the place of the wedding, a summit on the banks of a clear lagoon. The princess fell to the empty perishing in the act. Distressed and full of sadness, Illi Yupanqui made the body of the princess was laid to rest in the depths of the lagoon. When the body arrived in the depths, legend has it, that the water magically took an emerald color, the same eyes of the princess.
A magical place to get to know part of the Central Andes. Additionally, we found unique flora and fauna of the mountains of the Andes, and a population that still maintains our tradition of chilean.
